What to Expect at Ridge High School During Sophomore Year

Driver’s Education – students take the written exam in PE class during marking period one. The driving tests are not given through Ridge High School.

School pictures/ID photos are taken in September. All students are given an ID card to place in their grade appropriate colored lanyard which must be worn at all times during the school day.

PSAT Testing is offered at Ridge in mid-October (optional).

AP Testing is held in May (optional).

American History Community Service Requirement is 15 hours of service to an approved nonprofit organization and essay letter reflecting on the experience.

Summer Assignments– begin checking the Ridge website homepage in late May for summer reading, math, and AP assignments.
